The ancient philosophy of the Tao (pronounced dao) is one the most intriguing and uncomplicated paths to personal liberation to arrive in the West from the Far East in modern times. The Tao Te Ching, the definitive work of taoist literature, was written by Lao-tzu over 2,000 years ago. It deals with the art of getting out of one’s own way and learning to live in skillful harmony with the ways of nature. Tao translated means,
